Well I really can't wait to see what I can get done this winter.

I snagged these today from a guy that sold his mustang and needed to empty his garage for a boat he wants to buy:

305/35R20 rears, 255/35R20 fronts. I almost have to do the 5.0 mod now just to get the thing to turn these monsters.

I need spacers on the front to be able to steer at all.

Well well well, lets see if this works.

After a year of hosting problems I may be able to start posting again! It was a busy summer and I'll have a hard time catching up with all I did to the silver one, maybe I'll be able to now.

Side profile:

And a night time photo of the day I finished the argent mesh grill and the headlights, now that I can actually post I will take some good shots.

Been a while eh?

The rear end on this one was humming from the beginning. A couple weeks ago it took a turn for the worse and started "crunching".

I made it home and parked it thinking "good thing I have that torsen in the garage".

So I tried all the accessories I bought for the Torsen (it was an 8.8 4.10 gear 31 tooth spline out of a FX4 Level 2 but had drums) like the disk brake plates, calipers, rotors... everything seemed to fit fine.

I wanted to take it apart and clean it out since sometime in its life it took on some moisture and had some powder rust in a couple spots, plus I wanted to paint it.

I bought seals and oil and friction modifier and a few other things. Marked the pinion well so I could just clean the bearing and put a new seal in.

When I pulled the pinion out here is what I found:

I was going to buy bearings.

I didn't have a bearing puller of my own, was always able to use the one at work. I don't work there anymore.

So I bought one of those split pullers, but the bearings had deformed so bad I pulled it off with my hand.

So I checked the carrier bearings. Not nearly as bad as the pinion but they had pits also.

AND the right hand shaft bearing.

If I knew my spare was scrap I would have tried to save the original one a few years back. But nooooo I just let it crunch knowing I had one as a cushion to fall back on.

I contacted a guy that has like 6 in his yard, taking a trip down in a couple days to pick from his inventory.
