True dat! When I was in business for myself (brought on by the recession starting in late 2007), I always tried to give my clients the best service I could deliver. Always asking the questions to determine what they TRULY wanted. Sometimes they didn't know what they needed, and asked for my recommendation. Only then, did I do what *I* wanted to do. Any other time, I did what *THEY* wanted. I don't understand this new business paradigm where the company throws out whatever and we, the customer, gobble it up... all the while complaining.

EDIT:  Probably should have had this little side discussion in the Water Cooler section! ;)

Not to interrupt the current topic but I thought I'd check on an anomaly I'm experiencing.

While editing a post whether it has one or multiple attachments of videos [NOT pics have I seen this] you know how I do.. lol

While resubmitting the changes all the youtube video attachments seem to go away EVEN tho they existed in the edit page before hitting submit. Weird... :crazy:crazy:crazy

Yeah, the code formating changes so you can't edit a YT tag containing post.

Hmm ... something else to put on the bug fix list then. I wish youtube / Google had left things alone - why is it that Google wants to rule our lives in the same way that Microsoft and Apple do - what is it with silicon valley??

While speculation could be thrown around.. do you really wanna open that as a topic  for discussion?  :pat

is it possible to have in the quick reply box the option to add a picture or other media, so you don't have to scroll to the top to hit reply to get the full reply box?

also, we probably don't need the options to insert a WMV or quick time, or real media object. Seriously, who uses real media anymore? does that even still exist?

No need to scroll to top - there are two other reply buttons - one on the top of each post and one underneath each post - just use whichever one is closest to the mouse pointer .. :)

Auto sub (when set in preferences) does not work from the quick reply box.

I have alerted big guns, he did that mod.

Funny thing, I did the original QR mod and I don't think it has ever worked, I can't remember putting code in there for the auto sub. So blame me. LOL.

Blamed.

Whilst on the subject of the QR box, on mobile, the reply button disappears until you go to another screen and back again.

So after typing my reply, I hit reply on a post further up, then go back for the QR box to get the emoticons and reply button to show again.

Battle? Phones are a pain no matter what the type of OS - hopefully the mobile version of the forum will be ready to test soon ... I am off playing horses for the rest of the week so it won't be this week though ...

Pixel.

The bottom 'tool bar' is there even after tapping in the txt box for focus, but the second you hit any letter, the buttons disappear, leaving an orphaned tick box (the auto sub box)

I'm wondering about the keyboard, try switching to the GBoard from the crap Samsung one.

I have tried it on 3 phones now and I cannot replicate the problem - I think it must be something to do with the phone software or the setup. Not much we can do about that...
