The 2019-20xx section needs to be adjusted as the:

  • 2019-2023 Ford Ranger 7G

  1. A NEW section created for the 8G Ford Ranger 2024-20XX
  2. Maybe with a Sub-Section dedicated to the Ford Ranger Raptor specifically
  3. Some house keeping where maybe some updates to the Forum, maybe remove some redundancies and clear up some odd quirks
  4. Perhaps a Color change away from the Blue
  5. A new Header image
  6. Widen the posting box by pushing the poll button downward as that's not nearly as important of a feature as it is reducing scrolling while typing to see where you are at in the conversation easier
  7. Get our mods back in place doing modding, if their no longer active or don't wish to be, give someone else a chance

  •     MODS - Should be moving conversations into NEW topics when posts get TOO far off topic

Lets make it look like someone lives here still.. thoughts

All valid suggestions.  However, I think this forum is on life support.  I rarely visit any other forum, with the exception of The Ranger Station, so I can't speak for how those are doing other than The Ranger Station, which is still alive and well.  I personally would like to see a revival here, now that my wife is doing better health-wise (which is why I kind of dropped off the planet for quite a while).

Jim came out with a "Maverick Truckin" forum about time the maverick was released. I was thinking about buying one so I joined since IMO the Maverick was what the Ranger was supposed to be.
I'm continually disappointed in the new "Ranger" they should have called it the F125. Bed is too high, not enough engine options, priced so high average Americans can't afford one. Unfortunately I'm a little under average.

Ford: Hey let's make the wheels 6 lug so nothing previous will fit and you have to buy 1500 worth of rims.

Yeah, I just cannot warm up to the new Ranger.  I know you can't keep something basically the same forever, but this "comeback" truck just missed the mark in so many ways.  As for the Maverick, I don't like it either, although I agree with you, it is much closer to what the new Ranger should have been.  I don't really consider the Maverick a truck... I think it should have been named the Ranchero...

Not unique to Ford - the MG brand was sold to SAIC Motor - basically a true British sports car is now a piece of Chinese junk made of paper thin low quality steel and cheap plastic interior, the engines and gearboxes are crap, the switches break if you breath on them. So much for heritage!

@Chris: everything is all about the Dollar, or Euro/Quid/Yen/whatever.  No manufacturer really gives a rat's hat about quality of design, materials or workmanship.  Just throw it together.  I detest this world we live in now.  Nobody seems to care about anything.

Highly Subjective - It exists, the problem is no one wants to PAY for the quality of work, yet everyone wants to make $40 an hr for flipping burgers.. Every one is ANGRY at the businesses as if THEY control the value of the dollar, but yet hardly anyone takes a voice to the Government for all the free-BS-Entitlement programs, the somehow I make a $174k a year been in office for 12-15 years and now I am worth 280M dollars.. But I don't nearly make enough money to survive in today's world economy.

People care about the way they are treated, they care about Quality, but the problem with many businesses is they are ALMOST ALL OWNED by the top 3-4 companies, they placate to Investors NOT their employees. And then too, the newest generation or 3 have   work ethics.

The country has become a nation of Soft, Whiny, Spoiled, Weak, and even Illiterate to an extent, overgrown babies.

Day in, Day out, everyone complains. Ive got 100's of business and friend contacts around the world, and many live with far less than most Americans I see or know, and they aren't even anywhere near as negative or crybaby'ish. Granted even as weak and   the USD is, it goes a lot farther in many of those countries but you can blame your Politicians, Lobbyists, and Bureaucrats for that.

But dont worry, your State Senate is defending and fast tracking Islamic (Sharia) Law here in the States, wont be too long until we're like teh UK, Ireland, France, and Germany and they'll be stabbing your kids and family members in the streets so we all really have something to complain about...

Oh, some of you probably wernt ready for that response were you this morning? My bad

Aside from that.. WTF is wrong with the site now?

Are things THAT bad we cant Update this site to,.. Ohh I dunno.. 2018'ish?

Seems everytime I go a couple weeks without posting, or try to do something that USED TO BE normal to do on here, and the site wiggs out on me, I gotta delete Cache and Cookies to try and see if its me or here.. and its not me.

If you're worried about why some people dont post, maybe because they're fed up with the QUALITY of where the sites gone and just walked away.. Silence is Consent remember?

Come on guys can we seriously get this site back together? Its rare where I can come on here, spend 10-15 mins making a post or two, see whats new posts wise, thro some laughs or rhetoric out to have an excuse to get lost in the site like Pinterest for an additional 45 mins more or longer if someone else besides 86 Crawling Bots arent on the site trying to tell Google there is a heartbeat to the porch light left on here.

NO,...

It takes me 45 mins to an hour to try and post something before i have to flip-out and be a jack, and politely-rant or throw my stapler at Chris in DM's asking WTF?...

Which the Irony is, he's likely the only poor bastard here to read this and actually pop up amongst the tumbleweeds in this text-ridden vernacular ghost town.. Has the Smithsonian offered to buy the site yet?

Well, I'll just pop in amongst the tumbleweed to say I don't get ANY problems posting in here, none, nada, everything works just dandy and I am the other side of a rather large puddle. If you look at the server / database version numbers you'll see they are as up to date as can be. Are you still running 18th century Windoze?

Nobody much actually logs in to be (un)impressed with the site, so that ain't the issue, it is just that nobody wants to talk ranger these days.....
