Like the title says, ideas/examples and preferably pics of phone holders used on the 95-11 Ranger dashboard, specifically for the SAMSUNG Galaxy line, ideally S6 and newer, and here's the list of desired features:

*Dash mount, BELOW the top (ie, not in line of sight and blocking windshield)

*Mount does no permanent damage to vehicle> This may lead to a cig lighter mount or a custom bracket, which is fine.

*Something that's not a major PITA to engage/disengage the phone to.

*QI charger as a part of the holder wold be highly desirable.

*Samsung Galaxy S6 and up (mostly since these are QI ready as-built).

Let the great ideas with pics begin now. :)

I am kinda looking for the same thing. Tho Ill probably make some custom mount where the fake A/C vent (why is there a fake vent?!?) is on the 91.

my wife has a S8, so Id also be looking to do wireless charging as well. My ZTE Zmax Pro, sadly, does not...

I'm not sure what you're referring to as the noted dash of interest (95-11 Ranger) has no fake vents.

As are a few other people I know and have discussed this with a few months back.

FWIW, the reason for the desireability of the QI charge is because the GPS when used with navigation, is real hard on battery life. Streaming tunes via bluetooth and using (as an example) Spotify eats away at it, not as bad but after a few hours, it's noticed. QI chargers = convenient and no wear/damage to the jack, use that as a last resort.

I noted in my post, that on my 91 (should be true for all 88-93), there is a fake vent. The center A/C Vents, the driver side is purely decorational. Sorry for any confusion.
As noted, I am also interested. I was only giving an example of what I may be doing. Short of attaching something to the windshield or blocking one of the vents, there is not much room on the dash.

Steelie Ball Mount

I still like my Steelie ball mount although I do have mine located on the dash above the standard vents in the 92-97. Most people have more mounting locations than I do as someone stated using the NON-4x4 electronic facade piece. I've removed all of that and flush mounted a 7" tablet in that whole factory radio/vent/fake vent spot.

Thank you, but the thread is not about the old style dashboards, so anything prior to 95 won't help at all in THIS thread. Maybe another one.

I have the S6 Active. I have put fuzzy velcro on the back of the case and 3 small tabs of latch velcro on the instrument cover so the phone sits over the tachometer. It is not pretty and it does cover up some of the idiot lights but it works.
