I am an idiot and tossed out my ebrake levers (that attach ebrake cable to shoe) on my 10" drum rear 8.8 axle.

Anyone have some laying around?  Aftermarket doesn't seem to make them.  That leaves junkyard or Ford....and you know Ford is gonna be stupid expensive.

Pic for reference:

I read your post and thought there must be a problem finding the "Parking Brake Lever" !

Wow... I was mistaken to believe these parts MUST be readily manufactured !

I searched for two hours, I know I got into it, without success.

Are the rear drum brake already obsolete ?

Disc Brakes here we come !

So here is a funny thing:

Found a lever that is supposed to be for an AMC 20 axle used on Jeeps that looks almost identical.

After some more research, the brake drum setup for that AMC 20 axle is nearly the same as the 8.8 Ford.

Somebody copied somebody, not sure who copied who.  Knowing AMCs habit of copying and making their own twist on existing designs, I'd say they copied Ford.

Either way I'm going to give it a shot and see if they work.  For 10.00/ea it's worth a shot.  The Jeep aftermarket support it huge, so this may be the only way other than junkyard or Ford to get repro NLA hardware.
