I had a room-mate who had a first generation Integra. It was about 10 years old and had 250K on the odometer. He had a 110 mile round trip commute for work.

He had been offered another job that was much closer and he had decided that when he got his first pay-stub he would trade in the Integra but it still needed an oil change.

He used the same Jiffy Lube for most of the life of the car. On that last service they forgot to put the oil plug back into the oil pan. He made it about a half mile down the road before it seized. Jiffy lube paid for a factory reconditioned motor and he drove it another 10 years.

With the new motor he went ahead and had the suspension and steering rebuilt, 2 months later new carpet/seat covers/headliner/dash. A few months latter new paint job.
