Maybe I am spoiled, I've been rocking a Samsung Galaxy Tab3 7" Tablet flushed in my dash for the last 2 years and between the 18.2GB of music I have on it, Pandora, Youtube access, Audible books, and Sound Cloud I've been pretty entertained when not using the Google/Topo mapping or other features.
When I lived in Michigan it was alright and when I moved to Cali, the stations would fade in/out so much that it was as annoying as all get out. Thankfully the Alpine I had in it offered a USB input at least that I could throw a thumb drive in it with music on it. Ironically I outgrew the 8GB USB drive. lol
If you're not really using it for a Video function or rear view camera, NAVI.. and if the radio feature is whats most important to you, why not drop the Single dash unit back in place for the Sound Q of things?
