wheel travel The 98+ Ranger SLA suspension has about 5" of wheel travel, I am no fan of torsion bars, they are noisy!! The beam suspension has more like 8" and with a few mods it can have like 12-14" Wheel travel keeps the tires on the road, when you have 4" of downtravel available and 6-8" of uptravel.... well the truck can ride like a dream through some bumpy terrain
