I would say no. The 4 banger is about 5 hp less than the 3.slo. The 5 speed tranny is not as good as an auto for towing. I have towed a 2400 lb car on a car dolly and it was a hairy ride with the 3.0. auto tranny, and 3.73 rear.
I looked up the torque as well, the 3.0 has 180 and the 2.3 has 154....crap

It's 2 hours. I would rent a truck, but i can barely afford the two options I currently have, much less paying for a truck by the mile and gas
