Thanks, it's an 00 not an 03 but same beast. The wiring and plumbing scare me the least, you know me. The exhaust only scares me because I have no welder, I can see paying for a proper cross over setup and I really don't see why someone doesn't just make one and sell it. If you can sell a silencer as a fuel filter you should be able to sell a racing exhaust with bungs for upstream O2 sensors WHICH BTW I found out aside from the length of wires they are the EXACT SAME SENSOR upstream, downstream, 5.0, 4.0, 3.0 in the year ranges I am playing with. I already have one new one I bet out of the 4 I have left over I can salvage 1 and I will need 2 total. I bet the upper intake being off makes it painless to get to the transmission dip stick bracket bolt on the back of the head and at least the 2 top bell housing bolts? Makes sense oh great one ![]() There will be 2 ground straps added while I am back there, I'm a big fan of over grounding. I have complete wiring diagrams for both vehicles which will make that part a breeze. Now more questions. 1. My 97 5.0 had a steel fan. I don't want to go electric this round as I'm actively looking for one of those MK VIII fans and will convert when I find one. I saw a plastic version of this fan on a couple projects what years came with this plastic fan and is it worth trying to hunt one down for this round. What will the gains be aside from weight reduction? 2. Looks like from the answer to my transfer case question I will need the front driveshaft shortened OR will the front driveshaft off a F150 work? Will I need one off a short cab or an extended cab F150 or are they the same? The rear I can probably handle, I have 2 yokes for a 4R70W with 2 different diameters and multiple driveshafts off of various crap laying around. 1 from a V8 expo, one from a V6 expo and I believe one from a short cab ranger that already has a crown Vic 4r70w yoke on it. Yay.
