I drove  4.6-F150, STD CAB, nice truck, plenty of power, but it just didn't have the sound of the old V-8.

Due to the fact of size vs fitment, and the Ranger and its engine bay, I'm inclined to say as long as there is a large amount of performance equipment in the aftermarket for the 302/5.0L-W, I see no reason to go newer V-8 !

Now IF I was building from the ground up, no engine bay restrictions, the 4.6/5.0L-T might just be the engine for my truck.

As things stand, the only other alternatives to the 5.0L-W, would be a diesel, OR maybe an LS Engine, Big Blocks don't figure in, wide engines don't figure in.

My Ranger will go as fast as I need it to with a 5.0L-W, its easier than all the rest too !

So why the talk, do the Windsor and get it over with !
