A very popular product in the detailing world due to longevity and ease of use is Collinite 845 Insulator Wax. Very easy to apply and remove and gives you a strong long lasting finish similar to that of a sealant all while providing a nice glossy wet look of a carnauba Wax. This is a great wax to use for right before winter hits due to its durability - especially up here in the salt land lol. https://www.autogeek.net/collinite-insulator-wax-845.html

I second what Bird76Mojo said above about using a cleaner wax if the truck has a bit of road film or hasn't been stripped & decon hasn't been done in a while. Here is a tip - most waxes sold on the shelf at a parts store or Walmart are a "cleaner" wax. To get the maximum bond to the paint, you will want to remove the bonded contaminates in the paint with an iron remover as well as clay bar.

I'm a Meguiar's guy myself because of their history & you can get their products just about anywhere. If you just want a paste wax for the "wax on wax off method" I highly recommend the Paste Wax from Meguiar's Ultimate line. Their Ultimate line of products are some of the best that you can get from a retail store. Reviews and info can be found here: https://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-ultimate-paste-wax.html

If you are looking for the easy way to "wax" the truck, I'd check out Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax. It is a very simply product to use with basically no effort as long as you follow the directions (This is key because some people have reported issues with removal if done incorrectly). You can get a couple months out of it with some good results. The process is so simply you could do it after each wash if you wanted. The best part it is sold on just about every box store shelf that carries detailing products. Here is what you would be looking for as well as some info and reviews on it: https://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-hybrid-ceramic-wax.html

If you want some more ideas or have any other questions just shoot me a PM. I have a detailing business, I might be able to give you some insight on what might work best in your situation.
