The work f250 work truck split the same way this winter. It had just enough antifreeze to not crack the block, heads, or pop any freeze plugs. But the gunk settled and plugged the heater and I guess it got cold enough to expand the radiator seam but nothing else.

No idea how clr affects any of the internals, seals or gaskets but its good at breaking down calcium, lime, and rust.
