Easy ran a power and from the cigarette lighter to seat. The sport trac seat trcs bolted right in. I had to drill the mounting holes on the sport trac seats was the modification. Ranger seat bolts are bigger. So somewhere between 98-2006 the floor pans changed in the ranger. When I put expo seats in my 06 I had to use the ranger seat mounts but not on my 98
What is the amperage requirement on the Sport Trac Seats... I'm thinking 20+ amps ?
I am not sure the Cigarette Lighter has the wiring to cover that requirement, it may for a short burst, maybe a direct key controlled wire from the battery, fused at the battery and run through a relay. I am not trying to put you down on this, please understand, just run the seats for a short time and check the wiring for how warm it is, the warmer the wire the more wrong the wiring is !
