Today I started removing the remainder of the sealer from the front windshield channel using a wire wheel in a drill.

Over this past weekend I cleaned all the old gunk off the brackets for the bolt in windows & replaced all the plastic bushings, they are now ready to install.

Mike, it's been a month or so, did the weather up there get so bad you had to put it on hold for a while or have you been charging forward?

Was reading about that petronix looks like they have quite a product, like adding some electronic control to a manual distributor!

I am waiting on getting the engine back from the re-builder & it should be back to me in the next week or two, & my wife & I had some minor health issues. The health issues & the engine have slowed the progress to a slow crawl for now.

Yesterday I started welding in the patch pieces I made for the l./s windshield post & all was going good until I ran out of welding wire. Two more holes to fix, which will wait until next weekend.

I hate running out of wire and or gas! Since I live way back in the woods I like to keep a spare roll of wire and two smaller bottles of argon/c02 instead of one large bottle. With the two bottles I know when I need a refill so I wont run out in the middle of a weld!

Nice work thus far, keep it up!! keep at it!

Today with the weather great & my wife & I are over our health issues I decided to get some much needed car time. I rolled the engine out of the garage & installed the valve covers & the headers. Here is a pic of the 1987 Ford 5.0L that is going into the Mustang in the next couple weeks. It has a stock 5.0 bottom end with M-6049-X306 Ford Racing cylinder heads w/Ford Racing 1.6 roller rockers, M-6250-B303 Ford Racing cam, & Hedman 88408 shorty headers.

Today was a beautiful day so I finished working on the engine. The more I looked at it the more I disliked it painted black, so I purchased some period correct Ford blue paint & painted the engine blue, installed the intake manifold, distributor, water pump, & the dip stick tube.

Today before it got too hot & humid I installed a new harmonic balancer instead of using the 32 year old Ford one, installed the 10.5" King Cobra clutch disc & pressure plate, & the bell housing.

Today was a nice day even after getting rained on for a few minutes. This morning was in the low 80's so my wife & I rolled the Mustang out of the garage & installed the engine. I did the grunt work & she operates the engine hoist.

Today I installed the shortened aluminum Explorer driveshaft, made the bracket for the EFI fuel filter, & started working on the drivers side sub frame connector.
